Movement Arts T-shirts are required for class and the performance. You can purchase on the Shop page.

There is no required footwear for class, however Jazz shoes, Ballet slippers, and/ or Turners are recommended. For more information, contact us via email.

Jazz
The Jazz dance style taught in this program is a genre that merges traditional jazz with contemporary styles. Students will learn basic Jazz technique consisting of flexibility, jumps, turns, and more. Students will also complete various movement combinations to apply the techniques they learn.
Ballet
Ballet is one of the most famous styles of dance. Students will learn the foundation of Ballet including the five positions of the arms and legs. Students will also participate in strength and conditioning tailored to the Ballet style.

Lyrical
Lyrical is a style that combines both Jazz and Ballet techniques. Its emphasis lies in emotional expression and connection, often focusing on the lyrics of a song. Students will put the techniques they have learned together and apply it to different movement combinations, learning how to tap into their own emotional expression.
